Publishing of our Summer 2020 issue of West Highland News PLUS magazine, normally published in June, has been postponed. Doug Carmichael, Editor and Chairman, Friends of The West Highland Lines, said “the (provisional) plan is to produce and publish a ‘bumper’ combined Summer/Autumn/Winter edition in September”.
This is a consequence of the current coronavirus restrictions. The Magazine is eagerly anticipated by our members and the public lucky enough to obtain a copy. The Society know this will be disappointing for everyone, especially since it is not possible to enjoy the pleasures of actually travelling on the West Highland Lines either. Doug Carmichael is confident that the ‘bumper’ edition will more than compensate for the loss of the summer edition when it is published later in the year and it will include details about the postponed AGM, which will probably be held in the Commodore Hotel, Helensburgh.
The Committee wish you, our members, all the best of health over the forthcoming months.
