Jacobite Steam Train
A spectacular way to travel from Fort William to Mallaig and back. The train is normally hauled by main line steam locomotives which worked the route in the days of steam.

Scottish Railway Preservation Society (SRPS)
Dedicated to the advancement of Scottish Railway Heritage, has the largest collection of locomotives, rolling stock and railway artefacts outside the National Railway Museum and also organises railtours over Britain’s most scenic railways, including the West Highland Lines.

Glenfinnan Station Museum
A fascinating heritage site celebrating the history of the West Highland Lines and well worth a visit.
Find out how the spectacular railway from Glasgow to Mallaig was built and learn about the men who built it. Enjoy the lovingly-restored Signal Box and its heritage film studio. Turn up for a close-up encounter with the Jacobite steam train.

Invergarry Station Preservation Society
Dedicated to the rebuilding of Invergarry Station on the long-closed Invergarry & Fort Augustus Railway. This joined the West Highland Line at Spean Bridge and was closed in January 1947. The society has also undertaken to establish a museum dedicated to the history of the Invergarry & Fort Augustus Railway.
